Funeral services for J. D. Speer will be at 2 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Emile Roussean officiating. Interment will follow at Woodard Cemetery in Taylor. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
J. D. was born March 6, 1933, in Taylor and entered into rest May 19, 2015, in Minden.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Speer of Sibley; stepdaughter, Brenda Camp and husband James of Homer; granddaughter, Lacy Camp; grandson, Josh Camp of Homer; great-granddaughter, April Aguilar and husband Mike of Haughton; great-great-grandchildren, Michael and Daniel; and a host of friends and other relatives.
