Funeral services for Mr. James “Jamie” Garland Bradley, age 92, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the New Sarepta Baptist Church, Sarepta, LA, with Rev. Tim Everett officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Bradley was born on October 20, 1927 to Gurdon Guy and Mary Alice Bradley in Sarepta, LA and passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 in Springhill, LA. He was a lifelong resident of this area and was a member of New Sarepta Baptist Church. He was superintendent of the Sarepta Water Works for many years and worked as a carpenter. He drove a school bus for the Webster Parish School Board for three generations of children and touched many lives during his career, retiring after 57 years of service. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was also lovingly known as “Daddy Paw”.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Loraine Bradley Duke and husband, Donald of Shreveport, LA, Deborah Lane Bradley McAdams & husband, Bobby of Spearsville, LA; son, James Micheal “Mike” Bradley and wife, Cherry of Springhill, LA; sister, Hazel Tyler of Minden, LA; five grandchildren, Tammy Duke, Bradley Wayne Duke and wife, Dana, Jamie Lynn McAdams and wife, Elizabeth, Chad Bradley and wife, Ashley, Adam Bradley; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brody, Henley, Chezney, Jonathan, Weston, Rylan, Maryanna, Hadleigh and Leighton; extended family, Dale Brown and wife, Margie, Christie Whitlock, Jared Whitlock, Christan Whitlock, Deakan Whitlock and Kane Whitlock.
Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Carr Bradley, his parents and six brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
