James Thurman selected as Athletic Director for Glenbrook

by Minden Press-Herald

Glenbrook’s Head of School, Darden Gladney, announced today the selection of James Thurman as Athletic Director.

Thurman has 22 years of experience in school athletics, five of which were serving as an athletic director. Although primarily known as a football coach, he has also coached basketball, golf, and track. He not only has served as a coach but also in the classroom as an Advanced Placement Teacher. Earlier in the school year, KSLA interviewed Coach Thurman concerning his role as a coach in the Football in America League.

Thurman stated, “I personally have a long-term vested interest in Glenbrook School, as nothing would make me prouder than to see my two children graduate from Glenbrook. The position of Athletic Director would allow me to be a servant-leader for every student throughout those years and beyond.”

Under Coach Thurman’s leadership, the administration looks forward to years of successful athletic and academic endeavors.
