Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Young Blake, 78, will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Sarepta Church of Christ in Sarepta, with Bro. Garland Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery in Ringgold, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blake was born on March 5, 1936, to Marvin and Inez Schlacter Young in Hastings, Nebraska and passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 in Minden. She was a faithful member of Sarepta Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harvey Thomas Blake; three daughters, Sandie McMullan and husband, Wesley of Nacogdoches, Texas, Debi Young and husband, Mark of West Richland, Washington and Amanda Wilson and husband, Ivan of Minden; two sons, Dale Blake and wife, Denise of Disputanta, Virginia and Tony Blake of Waverly, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; twin brother, Lyle Young and wife, Pat of Cosmopolis, Washington; sister, Dee Young Carson and husband, Bob of Warrenton, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her parents.
