A one-vehicle accident on U.S. 371 south of Sibley Monday afternoon has claimed the life of a 51-year-old Minden man.
Investigating officers said a pickup truck driven by Anthony Tellis was heading north on the highway just after 3 p.m. when it veered across the southbound lane of traffic, entered a ditch and struck a tree.
Tellis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cause of the accident is still under investigation, investigators said.
