Knights, Tide both looking for first win

by Minden Press-Herald

North Webster (0-2) at Minden (0-2)

Delta Charter (2-0) at Glenbrook (2-0)

Plain Dealing (0-2) at Lakeside (1-1)

At least one Webster Parish football team will pick up its first win of the season as all four schools hit the gridiron for games at 7 p.m. today.

Winless North Webster High School will play host to 2-0 Minden in a game that will mark the first win over the season for one of those squads.

Minden won last year’s pigskin battle of Webster Parish’s biggest schools by the score of 34-27.

In a battle of 2-0 unbeatens, Delta Charter will visit Glenbrook.

The Crimson Tide is coming off a 33-26 loss to Homer while North Webster fell last week 40-18 at North Caddo.

This will be the first meeting between the Storm and the Apaches, who just joined the Louisiana High School Athletics Association last year.

Lakeside will be looking to parlay last week’s 46-12 win over Ringgold into a second straight win as the Warriors play host to Plain Dealing, which lost 48-20 last week to Lincoln Prep.
