Minden picked up win number one with a 28-23 victory over the Haughton Lady Bucs on Monday night.
The Tiders led 17-11 at halftime after going on a 9-4 run in the second quarter, led by some tenacious defense and rebounding.
“I thought we did a pretty good job on the defensive end and on the glass in the second quarter,” Coach Jacob Brown said. “We need to work on taking better care of the basketball.”
Shakayla Carter led the way with 12 points and Jazz White had nine.
