Lakeside High School graduated its class of 2016 at First Baptist Church in MInden Thursday. As seniors looked forward to taking their diplomas, students, faculty and staff reminisced about their high school years.

Eric Greene was presented with the United States Army Scholar Athletic Award, presented by SSG David B. Jayroe II. Ashley Nunn was also a recipient of the award. Other awards included the “I Dare You” award, along with the Scottish Rites Award, the American Legion award, the Bethany Noles Scholarship award and the Joe Procell Scholarship award. Six students graduated summa cum laude, five graduated magna cum laude and four graduated cum laude. A total of 65 graduates received their high school diplomas.
