After the dust settled at the Lakeside Junior High Relays, Ouachita Christian had swept the boys’ titles while North Webster won the girls’ championship.
The Lady Warriors were lead by Angelina Futch who had personal bests in winning the 800 (2:57.34) and the 1600 (6:45.62). Taking first place in the 2400 was Kerrigan Zachary at 10:10.86. Zachary also placed fifth in the 800 at 3:07.34. Lakesides 800 relay comprised of Grace Williams, Jamia Jackson, Kelly Willis, and Jasmine White took second at 2:02.78. Jackson placed sixth in the 200 (31.70). Jackson, Williams, White, and Ally Lofton made up the 400 relay which finished sixth at 59.02. Lofton placed third in the high jump (4′ 2″) and was fifth in the long jump (12′ 10″). White took fifth in the high jump (3′ 8″). Kaylee Davis added a second in the 2400 (10:16.13).
Webster’s Lady Wolves were lead by their relays. J. Franklin, S. Mingo, L. Adams, and K. Miller made up the first place 400 relay (56.06). The 800 relay comprised of F. Nelson, K. Jones, K. Kinsey, and I. Markray finished fourth at 2:03.91. That same foursome took second in the 1600 relay at 5:20. K. Miller finished second in the 200 (28.19). K. Jones was fourth in the 400 (1:19.23). K. Morris placed fourth in the 300 hurdles (1:03.16). In the 100, L. Adams was sixth at 13.57. D. Corley took second in the Shot with a 29′ 7″ toss.
Colin Richard lead the seventh grade Warrior boys as he swept the 800 (2:27.22) and the 1600 (5:55.25). Mitchell Scroggins won the 2400 (9:45.75) and was fifth in the 800 (2:54.34). Austin Nunn was fifth in the 2400 (10:07.69). In the 200 Titus Tillman was fourth at 28.35 and Cartez Alexander was fifth at 28.37. Alexander, Tillman, Trey Sanders, and Timothy Ary made up the third place 400 Relay (54.07). Sanders, Tillman, Tyler Thornton, and Jaylon Jackson comprised the fourth place 800 relay (1:54.41). Jackson was sixth in the javelin (80′ 8″) and fifth int he shot (27′ 5″). Sanders was fifth in the high jump (4′ 6″). Alexander tools third at 5′ 4″. Howard Collins was sixth in the shot (27′ 1″) and third in the discus (72′ 11″).
Webster’s seventh grade boys were lead by their relays. The 400 relay made up of Gillins, Greenard, Mithcell, and Kellog took fourth at 54.36. The same foursome took third int he 800 relay at 1:51.18 and second in the 1600 relay at 4:25.97. Kellog also placed fourth int he 300 hurdles (1:11.97). Greenard took fourth in the shot at 30′ 5″.
Lakeside’s eighth grade boys were lead by Zach Sumlin and Jorge Servin. Sumlin won the high jump (5′ 10″) and 100 meters (11.62), took third in the 200 (24.45) and along with Brian Jackson, Chance Mitchell, and Austin Simms ran on the third placed 400 relay (49.56). Servin won the 2400 (8:30.31) and was second in the 800 (2:26.22). Jordan Pruitt was also outstanding as he won the javelin with a school record throw of 127′ 5″. Pruitt also took second in the 400 (1:00.13), took fifth in the discus (93′ 0″), and a leg on the fifth place 800 relay (147. 31) along with Mitchell, Simms, and Josh Fuller. Simms also won the triple jump (35′ 6″). Fuller took second in the discus (117′ 0″) and fifth in the shot (36′ 5″). Brian Jackson won the shot (42′ 0″) and placed sixth in the 200 (26.12). Ondray Miles won the 1600 (5:33.66) and was third int eh 800 (2:27.28). Timothy Mansfield picked up fifth place finishes in the 1600 (6:07.06) and the 2400 (9:18). Zander Bass placed fourth in the javelin (99′ 4.5″).
For the eighth grade Wolves King led the way with third place finishes in the 400 (1:01) and as a member of the third place 1600 relay (5:33.66) which also included Washington, Johnson, and Allen. Allen, Johnson, Lott and Nelson ran on the fifth place 400 relay (50.02) and also on the third place 800 relay (1:44.94).
