SIBLEY – Lakeside’s early struggles have been well-documented.
The shaky start to the season had some scratching their heads, but those same folks have to be feeling pretty good this morning, after Lakeside used great pitching and timely hitting to hand Calvary Baptist Academy their first district loss.
Lakeside remains unbeaten in district 1-2A, and now have sole possession of first place.

In the fourth, Jones gave way to Page who calmly worked the final four innings, striking out two batters, allowing two hits and one run. Gray had an RBI double in the third inning before adding a run-scoring single in the fifth. Colton Carter followed up Gray’s fifth inning RBI with a double to score Josh Prince and increase the Lakeside lead. Cameron Gray went 2-2 and drove in a run in the second with a single.
