Lakeside wins third straight

by Minden Press-Herald

After beating the Griffins last weekend in the consolation final of the Haughton Tournament, Lakeside matched that performance with another win over North DeSoto on Monday night in Sibley.

This time, the Warriors had their offense cooking as they won 72-56 in front of their home crowd.

“We still have a few kinks here and there,” Lakeside head coach Marlon McDaniel said. “Needless to say we probably won’t ever be perfect but we want to get as close to our goals as we possibly can.”

Branthony Brown again led the Warriors with 17 points as he continues to dominate the paint offensively.

“We can’t ever be satisfied,” McDaniel said. “The good teams are the ones who are most consistent.”

Austin Sims added 15 points for the Warriors.

Lakeside improves to 4-4 with their third win in a row.

Aldravion Tayloer and Orlando Roberson both had nine points.

“We will keep striving to be better and better every day,” McDaniel said.

The Warriors will play in the Doyline Tournament this week in Doyline before playing host to Northwood next week.
