BATON ROUGE – The State Indoor Championship at LSU featured some impressive performers from Lakeside, where Warrior athletes participated in five events.
Leading the way was junior Alisa Lander who finished second in the Division II (C, B, A, AA, AAA) 3200-meter race as she ran a personal best of 11:54.18. The top lady distance runner in the state, Gabrielle Jennings, ran an outstanding time of 10:54 for the victory.
Eric Greene ran a personal best of 4:44.42 to finish sixth in the 1600. Cody Robinson finished 12th in the 3200 at 10:58. Greene, Robinson, Logan Bailey, and Ondray Miles made up the 4×800 relay which place 11th at 9:31.20.
Placing 14th in the shot was Jason Richard with a toss of 37′ 6″.
Former Lakesider Enrique Soto completed his indoor season running a pair of personal best top 10 performances at the Southalnd Conference Championships. Soto ran 8:31 in the 3000.
