Lee PorterLee Porter was born on July 6, 1959 to Solomon and Patsy Porter in Shreveport.

He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Come and See Baptist Church of Cullen.
Lee departed this earthly life on April 17, 2015. He was preceded in death by a son, Lee Porter Jr. and a grandchild, Montavious Johnson.

Lee Porter leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Solomon Sr. and Patsy Porter of Springhill; two sons, Derrick Porter of Taylor, Arkansas and Tommy Porter (Brittany) of Springhill; two daughters, Layson Johnson (James) and Shuntell Banks, both of Springhill; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Leroy Porter of Shreveport; Solomon Porter, Jr. (Pamela), Fredrick Norton, and Charles Porter (Jackie), all of Springhill; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life services for Lee Porter will be at noon, Saturday, April 25, at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Abbott, officiating. Interment will follow at Harrison Chapel Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Friday, April 24, in Kennon’s Mortuary Chapel.

Family hour will be from 6 until 7 p.m. at Come and See Baptist Church in Cullen.
