Funeral services for Linda Welch Smith will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Kathy Wafer officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon till service time.
Linda was born June 27, 1939 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest February 23, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. She was a member of Minden Presbyterian Church. Linda was a retired rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service after more than 30 yrs. of dedicated service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Smith, Sr.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald L. Smith, Jr. and wife Jackie of Minden and daughter Candice of Minden, Barry S. Smith of Minden, and his children Amanda and Tyler both of Minden, daughter, Kathy Smith Taylor and husband Phil of Ruston and their sons P.J. Taylor of Shreveport and Austin Taylor of Ruston, sisters, Bettye Sue Martin of Minden, Dorothy “Tuffy” Dubois and husband Bill of Dubberly, brother, William “Buddy” Welch and wife Anne of Sylvester, Georgia, and also survived by her great-grandchildren, Laney, Kylie, and Maggie all of Minden, numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be Phil Taylor, Scott Tucker, Milton Wells, John Thompson, Grady Miller, and David Lewis.
