A Doyline man was arrested Thursday after allegedly committing several indecent acts of a sexual nature in the presence of a minor.
Detectives with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s office received information that Daniel Purcell, 47, had acted inappropriately with a 14-year-old male from Doyline. After being brought in to be interviewed and being advised of his rights, Purcell admitted to having “sexual desires” for the juvenile, according to the police affidavit.
Purcell confessed that he had gotten nude in the presence of the minor and masturbated, showing the boy “how to use sex aids and sex toys.” Purcell stated he also played DVD’s containing pornography for the minor.
Detectives searched Purcell’s home after obtaining consent and found the sex toys and aids he had mentioned, along with methamphetamine and marijuana.
Purcell was charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile, possession of Schedule I and Schedule II controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken and booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. The investigation is ongoing, according to the report.
