The Louisiana Region Ministers’ Spouses Widows/Widowers Department celebrated their Annual Day on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Mt. Zion Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where Rev. Raymond Hampton is Pastor.
Mrs. Reecie Moore, Vice President of the Louisiana Region, served as our Chairperson and did an awesome job in moving the program along. There were many activities for this event. Every year we select an Outreach Project. This year we chose to bring food items to support the Richardson Elementary School Food Bank in Minden, Louisiana. All members of our department contributed can goods to the Food Bank. This Outreach Program is used to give food items to needy families in the community.
Mrs. Oreata M. Banks, principal of the school was there to receive food items donated, which was presented by Mrs. Ruth Rhodes.
