A man who deputies say tried to cause a fight at a trailer park has been arrested on disturbing the peace charges.

Steve Shondale Studdard, 44, of the 100 block of Wallace Circle, was arrested by the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office and charged with disturbing the peace by intoxication, two counts of impeding traffic and one count of resisting an officer by not providing his information to authorities.

Lt. Angela Evans says earlier in the day, they were dispatched to Katie Lane in reference to a disturbance. She says when they arrived, Studdard’s girlfriend was getting him in a truck, and she allowed him to go with his girlfriend.

“Since he wasn’t causing much of a disturbance and just impeding traffic, I let him leave with his girlfriend,” she said. “A few minutes later, in reference to the same situation, we get a call of a disturbance at Mouser’s Trailer Park. That’s where he bailed out of the car.”

She says while there, he was causing a disturbance by trying to get some of the people at the park to fight. No fights broke out and no one was injured, she said.

“It took us a little while to find him, but we found him in an abandoned trailer,” she said.

The initial call at the trailer park came in around 1 p.m., and he was found and placed under arrest at 2:17 p.m.
Studdard was then transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. Bond has not been set.
