Celebration of life services for Mary Helen Harvey Grigsby will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2 p.m. at the Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at the Sheppard Street Cemetery.

Mary Helen Harvey Grigsby to was born Oct. 1, 1942 to the Ollie Anderson Harvey and Evelyn Smith Harvey. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Wade Grigsby.

Mary Grigsby departed this earthly life on Oct. 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Cynthia Grigsby; three brothers, Lloyd Harvey, George Harvey, and Arthur Harvey.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, Rickey Harvey of Fort Worth, Texas and Cassandra Sneed-Lewis (Booker) of Sibley; grandchildren Rachel Norman (Ty) of Killeen, Texas, Brandon Coleman (LaTrice) of Texarkana, Texas, Marquisia Moore, Mario Moore (Benita), Michael Moore, all of Minden, Deunta Sneed (Kimberly), Dennis Sneed Jr (Kdijah), Qurray Sneed (Erica), Jamrion Sneed, Katajah SneedTyrone Grigsby, and Kevin Grigsby, all of Sibley; 22 great-grandchildren; her brother, Willie Harvey of Sibley; two sisters, Marilin Coleman (Thurman) of Shreveport and Betty Willis (John Lee) of Sibley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary.
