MINDEN – Sgt. Jared McIver, an agent with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, will be the guest speaker at the December 5 meeting of the Minden Lions Club. Sgt. McIver is a 23-year law enforcement veteran of Webster Parish. He served for five years with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office and has served with Wildlife and Fisheries for the past 18 years. Sgt. McIver will speak about new laws that have recently taken effect, future trends, and situations agents encounter in the field. The Minden Lions Club meets Thursdays at noon at the American Legion Memorial Home, located at 119 Pine St. in Minden.
