To the citizens of District D,
Public service isn’t about headlines or election seasons. It’s about answering the phone when a resident has a concern, showing up to meetings where difficult decisions have to be made and working every day to make our community a better place to live.
That belief is why I’m proud to announce that I am seeking re-election to continue serving as your District D representative on the Minden City Council.
Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Every decision I’ve made has been guided by one simple question: “What’s best for the people of Minden?” While I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, I believe there’s still important work ahead.
Many of you know that this isn’t my first opportunity to serve. I previously represented District D from 1999 to 2002 before returning to the City Council years later. Those experiences have given me a unique perspective on where our city has been, the challenges we’ve faced and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Throughout my time on the council, I’ve believed that leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about listening to residents, business owners and employees, with various opinions, before making difficult decisions.
I believe that’s how a good government should work.
Together, we’ve supported investments in our infrastructure, worked to strengthen public safety, encouraged economic development, improved utilities, and continued making decisions that position Minden for long-term success. Every project, every vote and every discussion has been about moving our city forward responsibly while protecting the interests of the taxpayers who make this community possible.
But serving on the City Council has never been about checking projects off a list for me. It’s about people.
It’s about being available when someone calls with a concern. It’s about celebrating our successes while being honest about our challenges. It’s about making decisions that may not always be easy but are always made with the best interests of our community in mind.
As we look to the future, I want to continue building on the progress we’ve made. I believe Minden has incredible potential. We have opportunities to strengthen our infrastructure even more, support our local businesses, attract new investments, improve our neighborhoods and continue making our city a place where families want to live, work and raise their children.
Those opportunities deserve experienced leadership that is willing to listen, ask tough questions, work collaboratively and make thoughtful decisions.
“Steady Leadership for a Stronger Minden” isn’t just a campaign slogan to me. It’s the commitment I’ve tried to demonstrate every day I’ve served, and it’s the promise I’ll continue to keep if you allow me the privilege of serving another term.
Minden has given so much to me over the years. Serving this community has never been about holding a title… It’s about giving back to the place that has given so much to my family and to so many others.
I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I’m excited about what’s ahead.
