The Minden Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is gearing up for a series of impactful events designed to serve Bienville, Claiborne, and Webster Parishes. These events promise to make a positive difference in the lives of the community.

Breast Cancer Tea

Date: October 29, 2023

Time: 4 PM – 6 PM

Venue: Courtyard Event Venue, 109 Pearl Street, Minden, LA

Attire: Shades of Pink

Theme: “Thrive 365: Red Empowerment Through Pink”

The Breast Cancer Tea, to be held at the Courtyard Event Venue, is a meaningful gathering to raise awareness about breast cancer. Attendees are encouraged to wear shades of pink, symbolizing unity in the fight against breast cancer. This event is scheduled for October 29, 2023, from 4 PM to 6 PM. The venue’s address is 109 Pearl Street, Minden, LA.

If Only You Knew Relationship Forum

Date: November 4, 2023

Time: 9 AM – 3 PM

Venue: 711 Gladney Street, Minden, Louisiana

Admission: $50 per person (includes a meal and swag)

On Saturday, November 4, 2023, the If Only You Knew Relationship Forum will take place at 711 Gladney Street in Minden, Louisiana. This engaging forum, running from 9 AM to 3 PM, provides an opportunity for individuals to gain valuable insights into relationships and personal growth. The event features a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Denise Chevalier, PhD, LPC; Duane Williams, MA, LPC-S; Canethia Lyons, Sex Coach; Kalvin & Charlene Douglas of House of Refuge Ministries; and Earl and Nicole Watson, Founders of Made for Marriage.

Fast Help Medical Alert Devices

Eligibility: Individuals must be at least 60 years old, with priority given to disabled residents living alone.

Application Deadline: November 11, 2023

Winners Announcement: December 9, 2023

Minden Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will provide 10 Fast Help Medical Alert Devices to residents in each of the three parishes within their service area – Bienville, Claiborne, and Webster. Eligible recipients must be at least 60 years old, with priority given to disabled individuals living alone. To apply, interested residents can scan the QR Code and complete the application. Applications are due by November 11, 2023, and the winners will be announced on December 9, 2023.
