Due to forecasted heavy rain on Saturday, the Minden Mardi Gras Fasching Parade and the MLK Black History Parade have been rescheduled for Sunday, February 16.
The MLK Black History Parade will take place downtown at 2 PM, followed by the Battle of the Bands and awards ceremonies. The Minden Mardi Gras Fasching Parade will roll through downtown at 4 PM, with vendors setting up prior.
With both events now set for Sunday afternoon, downtown Minden is expected to be a lively and festive hub of celebration.
