The Minden Recreation Complex was filled with ghosts, goblins, dinosaurs, and plenty of other colorful characters Saturday, October 31, as families turned out for the annual REC Fall Festival.
The event drew a large crowd of children and adults who enjoyed an evening of Halloween activities, treats, and community fun.
Costumes were among the highlights of the evening, with children and adults showing off an impressive variety of creative, spooky, and entertaining outfits. From traditional Halloween favorites to characters from popular movies and television shows, there was no shortage of imagination on display.
Festival activities included trunk-or-treat, bounce houses, free candy, and complimentary hot dogs and drinks for children. Food vendors were also on hand, while a haunted house offered an additional attraction for those looking for a few Halloween scares.
Despite concerns about rain earlier in the day, the weather cooperated, allowing families to enjoy the festivities throughout the evening.
The annual celebration provides an opportunity for local families to gather in a safe, welcoming environment while enjoying Halloween activities together.
With another successful festival and a strong turnout, the event continues to be a popular part of Minden’s Halloween celebrations.
