Minden Medical Center hosted Health Talk at the Webster Council on Aging on the topic of cholesterol.
Director of Food Services, Stefanie Bond was the key speaker for the event.
September is Cholesterol Awareness Month so substitutes for foods high in cholesterol were among the matters discussed. Bond also discussed the different types of cholesterol and their benefits and risks.
This is part of an ongoing program. The next Health Talk will be October 25 at 10 a.m. The topic will be physical therapy.
