A Minden man died when his motorcycle crashed Thursday afternoon.

Louisiana State Police say he is 58-year-old Marvin Griffith.

His motorcycle wrecked at 1:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 371 just north of U.S. Highway 80 in Webster Parish, says a report from Trooper 1st Class Matt Harris.

Preliminary investigation shows Griffith was driving a 1998 Harley-Davidson north on US 371 when he lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to crash.

Griffith was ejected from the motorcycle. He was wearing a DOT-approved helmet at the time, Harris said.

Impairment is not suspected as a factor in this wreck, but toxicology samples were obtained for analysis.
