Noble Van Brister went to be with his precious Savior Jesus Christ on January 8, 2021.
He was born July 12, 1940 to parents, Herschel and Syble Ethridge Brister. He served 2 years in the US Army. He worked as a welder in the building trade construction business for 20 years. Noble spent his entire life in the welding trade.
In 1975 he went to NW LA Technical College and taught welding for 27 years. In those years, Noble was a person who lived up to his name. He touched the lives of many by living up to the definition of his name which is defined as someone you admire and respect, who is unselfish, morally good, upright, always willing to help in any way he could, and someone who is worthy, generous, and honorable.
Noble loved the Lord with all his heart and lived his life as an example to show others the light of Jesus.
Noble was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Noble Van Brister II, and brother- in- law Gary Simolke.
Left to cherish his memory his wife Claudette Fussell Brister, daughter Michelle Brister and wife Tracy, Son Chris Brister and wife Amy. His grandchildren Noah and Jacob Odom, Anna, Abby and Madeline Loy, Abigail Campbell, Judah and Jeremiah Daigle, and Maggie Stewart. Sisters: Yvonne Alexander (O.D.), Gwen Simolke, and Sharon Maynor (Alvin). And precious nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Interment followed at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly, Louisiana. The family received friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
