by Minden Press-Herald

Northwest Louisiana Technical College’s Minden Campus received a surge, thanks to Training Consultants, Inc., which donated $83,000 in trainers to the school’s new industrial electricity program.

Tony Shackleford, national sales manager for Training Consultants, Inc., says he is pleased to help forge this partnership with Northwest LTC.

“I am looking forward to the much anticipated growth in this high skill, high wage, high demand program,” Shackleford said.

Scott Price, assistant dean, said the new partnership with TCI and the potential of the program will help the school meet workforce needs in the region.

“We exist to support business and industry with a workforce that gives them a competitive advantage,” Price said. “With partners like Tony and TCI, we will meet the training needs of northwest Louisiana and contribute to the statewide goals outlined in ‘Our Louisiana 2020.’”

Electricity instructor, Mike Holomon, says he is looking forward to working with the new trainers.

“Our students need state-of-the-art trainers to be better prepared for the workforce of tomorrow,” Holomon said. “I am deeply grateful to Training Consultants, Inc. for their investment in the industrial electricity program.”
