On December 11, 1957, Odell Harris Sr. and Bertha Mae Sims were blessed with a daughter, Patricia. Early in life she confessed Christ and was baptized at the New Light Baptist Church. Her spiritual life was further nurtured at Mayflower Baptist Church, where she served as Financial Secretary for several years. On January 13, 2018, she joined Galilee Baptist Church where she was a faithful member.

Patricia was educated in the Webster Parish School System. She graduated from Minden High in 1975.

She united in Holy Matrimony to Emmitt “TC” Clark on December 11, 1980. To this union, one son, Marques was born.

Her love for helping people lead her to the field of Health Care. She worked at Meadowview, Westwood, Heritage Manor South, Garden Park, and Bossier Health care. She was the Bookkeeper for Operation Turn Around. She did taxes for people for many years. Her last job was keeping her favorite girl Amar “Tootie”.

Patricia departed this earthly life on July 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry and Odell “Groovy”; one niece; and several nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Rev. Emmitt Clark, Jr.; son, Margues Clark; a special daughter, Debra Dixon; granddaughter, Amari Clark; sister, Sonia Johnson (Jesse); brother, Eric Harris (Ladesh); uncle, James Sims (Alma Jean); aunt, Elinnia Sims; great aunt, Nobie “Aunt Bit” Scott; two goddaughters, Courtney and Serena; special little girl, KaNia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services for Patricia Ann Clark will be held Saturday, July 31st at 11:00 A.M. at Galilee B.C., Haughton, LA, with Dr. Marvin Vaught, officiating. Interment will follow at the Gallie B.C. Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 30th in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary.
