Visitation celebrating the life of Peggy “Mimi” Perot Lacobee, 77, of Shongaloo will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2016. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Stonewall under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Ms. Lacobee was loved by all who knew her. She was best known as “Mimi.” She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to travel, follow and care for her grandkids, and enjoyed her role as a homemaker—cooking for her family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Mimi and her late husband, H.H. “Buddy” Lacobee, were nationally known for their outstanding jersey herd. Ms. Lacobee raised thousands of baby calves but her pride and joy were her grandkids. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Ms. Lacobee was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy, and her parents, Morris and Ima Mae Perot.
She is survived by one son, Paul Lacobee, and wife Peggy of Shongaloo, three daughters, Mitzi Thomas, and husband Randy of Minden, Terri Cater, and husband Mike of Harrisonburg, and Jan Leonard, and husband Marcus of Shongaloo, brothers, David Perot of Birmingham, Alabama and Murphy Perot of Logansport, and sisters Sue Salley of Stonewall, and Kay Malcom of Galveston, Texas. Ten grandchildren, Kendall Thomas (Sara), Houston Lacobee (Lexie), McCaul Lacobee, Chad Lindsey, Kylie Cater Miller (Wil), Coty Cater Parr (Dra), Tyler Cater, Shawn Cater Russell (Brennan), Marshall Leonard (Brie), Kelby Leonard (Klancy). Great-grandchildren, Hadley Kate Thomas, Harper Thomas, Duke Thomas, Austin Parr, Nash Leonard, and newborn John Thomas Russell, and one on the way!
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
