Pine Hills Country Club hosts successful Par 3 Tournament

The Pine Hills Country Club hosted its annual Par 3 Tournament on Saturday, April 13, featuring a competitive field of golfers in 2-man 27-hole scrambles. The tournament showcased skill and sportsmanship across multiple flights.

In the Championship Flight, Mike Mills and Jay Kumar claimed the top spot, demonstrating teamwork and precision throughout the event. Tim Vining and Lance McGuire secured second place, while Monte Newman and Keith Smith finished third, showcasing their prowess on the course.

In the Presidential Flight, Josh Hilton and Kyle Smith emerged victorious. Tommy Sumner and Austin Sumner secured second place, followed by Danny Clanten and Mike Dickson in third, rounding out the flight’s top performers.

The 1st Flight saw an exciting four-way tie for first place, highlighting the competitive nature of the tournament. Denny Shaffer and Brian Camp, Hunter Baker and Cameron Corely, Tyler Mandino and Tate Mandino, and Derek Hopkins and Donnie Irby all shared the top spot. Mike Elshout and Michael Elshout secured second place, while Paul Gulley and Earl Russo finished third in this tightly contested flight.

Participants competed for cash prizes, with 1st place earning $450, 2nd place receiving $300, and 3rd place taking home $150.

Pine Hills Country Club expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters for making the tournament a resounding success. The participants in the Par 3 Tournament evinced golfing talent and camaraderie, embodying the spirit of the sport.
