Pineland Jamboree

by Minden Press-Herald

The Minden Crimson Tide will play the second game of the Pineland Jamboree Friday night in The Pit.
The opponent for the Tide will be perennial 1A power program Haynesville. The Golden Tornado return plenty of talent and experience from last year’s state championship team and should give the Tide a physical test heading into the regular season schedule.

Haynesville went 13-1 last season and Minden finished 7-4 in Class 4A.

Advanced tickets are $7 and directly benefit the football program.

North Webster

The North Webster Knights will kick things off at the Pineland Jamboree at 7 p.m. against Rayville High School.

The Hornets won nine games a year ago and were one play away from taking out No. 1 overall seed Livonia. They have plenty of experience back and should be fun to watch.

The Knight counter with a strong team of their own, led by running back/linebacker Devin White and running back Jalen Smith.

This matchup of semi-finalists should start things off with a bang.
