Police: Men stole gun, traded it for drugs

Two Minden men have been arrested for reportedly stealing a rifle and trading it for drugs.

Jordan Tyler Dunn, 17, of the 500 block of Murray Street, was arrested for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of theft of a firearm and criminal damage to property. Bond was set at $160,000.

Hagen Wray Williams, 17, of the 100 block of Emerald Drive, was arrested for simple burglary, criminal damage to property and one count of theft of a firearm.

Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies served warrants on the two men at Dunn’s Murray Street residence. Police say the two men reportedly kicked in the door of the home of Dunn’s grandparents and stole a rifle from their bedroom.

They reportedly left the home, walking through the woods to a waiting vehicle.

Williams and Dunn allegedly went to Lorex Road where they traded the rifle for marijuana.

Dunn reportedly refused to speak to Captain Barry James and Sgt. T.D. Kemp Jr. However, Dunn’s grandparents reportedly identified the two from surveillance video.

Williams and Dunn were placed under arrest and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for booking.
