Funeral services for Ray Myers will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Jeff Flenniken and Rev. Ronnie Whitlock officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Ray was born July 2, 1939 in Pelahatchie, Mississippi and entered into rest November 7, 2018 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Army. Ray attended Sibley Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of Ark-La-Tex Winged Modified Racing Association. He was owner/operator of Myers Automotive for 45 years and loved fishing, outdoors, and spending time with his pets, but his true passion was racing cars.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Lillian S. Moulder, father; Russell Allen Myers, Sr., brother; Russell Allen Myers, Jr., sister; Patricia Rodgers, and step-father; Red Moulder.

He is survived by his wife; Patricia Myers of Sibley, son; Alan Myers of Sibley, daughter; Charity Myers of Natchitoches, sister; Elizabeth “Tiny” Hodges of Natchez, Mississippi and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dana Wood, Jeremy Wood, John Bedgood, Casey Hinton, Tyler Morgan, and Koty Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Johns, Buddy Clyde Heard, Danny Roy Greene, Glenn DeSoto, and Russell Adams.
