Recovery Day 2026 will bring community members together September 24 for a free event focused on mental health, substance use recovery, and connecting people with local resources.
The Minden Behavioral Health Clinic, in partnership with The Farm of Cultural Crossroads of Minden, will host the event from 10 AM to 2 PM at The Farm, 410 E. Union St. in Minden.
The event is designed to help individuals and families learn about the different paths to recovery and the resources available in the community.
“Recovery looks different for everyone,” said event organizer Marsha Hayes. “For people living with mental health or substance use challenges, finding the right starting place can make all the difference.”
Recovery Day will bring together individuals, families, local organizations, recovery advocates, and community partners to celebrate recovery, reduce stigma surrounding mental health and substance use, and connect attendees with support services.
In addition to opportunities to visit with local service providers and community organizations, attendees can enjoy music, food, games, and fellowship.
Hayes said the event is an opportunity for those seeking help, as well as their families and supporters, to learn more about the options available locally.
“There are many paths to recovery,” Hayes said, “and Recovery Day 2026 is a chance to learn about some of those paths and the resources available in our community.”
