Lace up your running shoes and join the holiday spirit at the annual Rehab Reindeer Run, hosted by Minden Medical Center Rehab Services. The event is scheduled for Friday, December 8, 2023, starting at 6 PM.
Participants will embark on a festive journey through the Ridgewood neighborhood, adorned with Christmas lights, creating a scenic backdrop for the run/walk. The starting point is Minden Medical Center Outpatient Therapy at 1120 Homer Road.
Individuals and teams are welcome to register, with the chance to win a basket of goodies for the best team theme. Registration is open until race day, with a fee of $35 (student price $25 for those 18 and under). Payment options include credit card online, or in person with cash, check, or card at MMC Business Office in Minden or Sportspectrum in Shreveport at 6970 Fern Avenue.
The race course will take participants from MMC Outpatient Physical Therapy, through Southridge Drive, into the Ridgewood neighborhood via Ridgewood Circle, and conclude back at MMC Outpatient Physical Therapy.
Packet pickup is available on Thursday, December 7, from 8 AM to 5 PM at MMC Outpatient Therapy, and on race day from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
Age group awards will be presented to the top male and female participants in various categories, including 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Additionally, there will be overall 1st place male and 1st place female awards.
The post-race celebration will feature complimentary chili, hot chocolate, and the presentation of race awards.
