There were two football games played at the Minden Recreation Complex in the fifth and sixth grade league on Thursday.
Here are the results from those games:
Marcus Patillo Punishers vs. Titans
In the first game of the night, the Marcus Patillo Punishers defeated the Titans by a score of 42-0.
Leading the way for the Punishers was Je’Dyah Taylor who had 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Ty’Darrium Green had 12 yards and a touchdown for the Punishers as well and Justin Richardson scored two touchdowns on 27 yards. Javis Moore also scored for the Punishers on a 25 yard touchdown.
Defensive leaders for the Punishers were Cartez Alexander, Jaylenn Jackson and Connor Heard.
The Titans were led by Eddie Markray who had 17 yards, followed by Jamontez Ridley with ten and Dai’Malik Miller with 13.
Dawgs vs. Mohawks
The Dawgs beat the Mohawks in game two, 32-7.
The Dawgs were led by Grady Brasher’s 165 yards and three touchdowns. Skyler Butler had 107 and two touchdowns for the Dawgs and D’Angelo Garner had 140 yards. Andrew Cooper added 13 yards.
On the other side, the Mohawks were led by Khyrese Taylor and his 96 yards and a touchdown. Nathan Ben also had a good game for the Mohawks totaling 64 yards from scrimmage.
Defensive leaders for the Dawgs were Brasher, Garner, Skyler Butler, Cameron Combs and Chase Hammons.
For the Mohawks defense it was Kameron Talley, Jakob Walker, Kevin Johnson, Evan Thomas and D’Darius Williams who led the way.
