Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Rosie Lee Moore will be held Saturday, April 14 at 11:00 A.M. at the Valley Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ray D. Jiles, officiating.
Rosie Lee Moore was born February 21, 1940 to the late Rev. John T. Rice and Pearlie Mae Rice at LSU Hospital. She is one of 16 siblings. She departed this life on April 7, 2018.
Rosie accepted Christ at an early age. She faithfully attended Valley Springs Baptist Church in Minden, LA until her health failed. She was a former employee at Tide Craft in Minden. Her hobbies entailed in writing poetry, cooking, worshiping God. Rosie had an infectious smile and loved making people laugh with her witty personality. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. John T. Rice, mother, Pearlie Mae Rice, husband, Charlie Moore, son, Phillip Moore, Eleven Siblings-Willie D. Rice, Benjamin Rice, Joseph Rice, James Rice, Thomas Rice, J. D. Rice, Roosevelt Rice, Lonnie Rice, Robert D. Rice, John Thomas Rice, and Indiana Frances.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons- Jerry Moore, of Stockton, CA, Rodney Moore of Murrieta CA; four grandchildren- Jerry Moore Jr., Demarcus Moore both of Minden, LA,; Sanaa Moore, Rodney Moore Jr. both of Murrieta, CA; four sisters – Theola Thornton of Dallas, TX; Ola Mae Jones of Dallas, TX; Mattie Robinson of Minden, LA; Pearlie Mae Stevens of Minden, LA. Seven Great Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 13 in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary. Email condolences may be sent to [email protected].
