Funeral services for Ruth Tanner will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at First United Pentecostal Church in Minden with the Rev. T.F. Tenney, the Rev. Jeff Ramsey, and the Rev. Gerald Trammell officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the church.
Ruth was born Aug. 11, 1938 in Plain Dealing and entered into rest June 5, 2016 in Minden. She was a faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Her father, the Rev. T. W. Barnes preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Sam F. Tanner of Minden, mother Lucille Barnes of Minden, son Michael Gray and wife Shelley of Keithville, daughters Sharon Garris and husband David, Ginger Garris, and Lisa Edwards and husband Jeff all of Minden, stepdaughters Becky Barnard and husband Bryan and Debbie Coyle and husband Robert all of Shreveport, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be David Garris II, Jerry Garris, Nicholas Nixon, Fisher Nixon, Bryan Barnard and Robert Coyle.
