Sandra Samuel, Webster Parish Supervisor of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) will speak at the Lions Club weekly luncheon Thursday.

She is also the volunteer director for the Minden-Royal Family Kids Camp. She is the wife of Dawson Samuel, owner of Samuel Electric, and together they have four children and two grandchildren.

Prior to her four years working for CASA, Sandra spent nine years as a photo-journalist for the Minden Press-Herald, where she had the privilege of documenting the events and the people of Minden. Sandra credits the experiences she had and contacts she made during this time as preparing her for her current job at CASA and now for this newest opportunity with RFKC.

During the luncheon, Samuel will explain how she and volunteers plan to give hope to children that have been neglected, abused, abandoned, and are now in foster care.

The Minden Lions Club meets Thursdays at noon at the American Legion Memorial Hall, located at 119 Pine St. in Minden.
