Former students, teachers, and workers of Sarepta High School are gathering for the annual “Celebration of Friends” reunion on Saturday, October 5. The event will take place at the Sarepta Community Center, located at 210 Vine Street off Highway 2, and offers an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with classmates and colleagues.
The reunion will begin at 9 AM, with visiting hours continuing until around noon, when a catered luncheon will be served. The menu features fish, shrimp, and chicken, along with traditional sides, dessert, and iced tea. The meal cost is $17 per person, and all attendees are asked to pay at the door. To ensure adequate preparation, those planning to eat are requested to reserve their meals by Wednesday, October 2 by calling either (318) 847-4270 or (318) 578-3053.
Sarepta High School alumni are encouraged to spread the word to others through social media and personal connections, ensuring as many people as possible are informed about the event.
In addition, the event will include a fundraiser to support Josh Branton, a Sarepta native who sustained an injury limiting his mobility. Branton now requires a wheelchair-accessible van, and funds are needed for the vehicle’s upkeep. Contributions can be made during the event or by sending checks to the “Hornet Fund” c/o Gerald Holland, 41 Stonehenge Drive, Bentonville, AR 72712.
This annual reunion provides a meaningful opportunity for alumni to come together and reminisce while supporting a worthy cause.
