The Webster Parish School Board approved funding for several projects and gave permission to begin others during the monthly school board meeting on Monday.

Pan American Engineers has been hired to perform limited topographical surveys for three locations including a softball complex to be located at the old alternative school on Clerk Street, the baseball stadium at Griffith Park in the Minden Fairgrounds for the demolition and replacement of the stadium, and a new football field and track to be built at Webster Jr. High. The surveys will be funded by the Minden District 6 ½ cent Sales Tax Fund for $38,900.00. Minden High will be having the carpet in the office hallway and sitting area replaced with vinyl composite tile. The work will be completed by Snyder Floor Covering and will cost $13,232.50. This improvement will also be funded by the Minden District 6 ½ cent Sales Tax Fund. Browning Elementary will be accepting bids this month for completing some renovations at their school. They will advertise for bids this month, and the winning bid will be selected in February. The Springhill Maintenance Fund will be paying for parking lot and drainage repairs at Brown Upper Elementary. The work was completed by Indian Creek Construction for $5,070.25.
