Seeds Women’s Center Executive Director Amber Bradford hosted “Taco ‘Bout an Awesome Team” on Monday, August 24, to show appreciation for the volunteers, staff members, and board members who help support the center’s work in the community.
The taco night was held at the Seeds Women’s Center, 308 Pine Street, and featured food provided by El Jimador and custom sodas from Big Soda Club.
Bradford expressed her gratitude for the people who contribute their time and support to the center.
“Thank you for being a part of us, for always praying and supporting us,” Bradford said.
The center’s next major fundraising event will be its annual fundraising banquet, scheduled for 6PM on Tuesday, October 6, at the Minden Civic Center.
Seeds is seeking to raise $100,000 through the banquet, with sponsorships and tickets available. Community members interested in supporting the center are encouraged to attend or consider becoming a sponsor.
Seeds Women’s Center provides free pregnancy and family support services to women and families in the community. Services include pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, nurse consultations, parenting classes, counseling, and access to a baby boutique. The center also works with local families and foster parents to provide needed supplies and resources.
