A memorial service celebrating the life of Sharon Eiland will be held Friday May 13, 2022, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Doyline with Bro. Paul Pearson officiating.
Sharon was born June 4, 1943, in Prescott, Arkansas and entered rest May 7, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She retired from the Ordinance Plant after 33 years and then worked for the Village of Doyline as the town clerk for 17yrs. She had a passion for animals. She enjoyed helping helpless animals. She also raised horses. She enjoyed watching NFL and College Football and College Basketball. She grew up in a family that would play exciting and competitive game of cards which she has passed along to her children. She loved Jesus and loved singing the Hymns about him. She even bought a piano to teach herself how to play some of her favorite hymns.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Lois Francis and stepmother Mary Stone Francis.
She is survived by her husband, John Calvin Eiland of Doyline; son John Calvin Eiland, Jr. of Doyline; daughter, Dr. Stacey E.M. Sabol and husband Shawn of Jeannette, Pennsylvania; sister, Gaye Francis of Doyline; brothers, Gary Francis and wife Marie of Haughton, Mickey Francis and wife Tommie of Evergreen, Colorado; nephew Brian Francis and wife Lisa and their daughter Christina of Louisville, Kentucky and niece Jennifer Wolpert and husband Joey of Houston, Texas.
