sheila-odom735My dear sweet wife, Sheila Odom was called home to be with her Lord on Oct. 4, 2016. She was born May 3, 1952 in Mobile, Alabama. Sheila loved the Lord Jesus and her church family at Bistineau Baptist Church.

Her family was the centerpiece of her life and spent most of her time supporting many and different activities. She was “Granny” to most of all of us, but later just Gran. She was a fabulous cook, organizer, travel agent, booking agent, accountant, hostess, and most of all a wonderful wife, mom, and grandmother. She will be missed very much by all of us who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Noel Odom of Sibley, sons, Clint Heflin and wife Wendy of Minden, Tim Odom and wife Kelli of Blanchard, daughter Hillary Capetillo and husband Rey of Shreveport, sisters, Sue Bricker and husband Dudley and Sherry Burns and husband Ronnie of Ada, Oklahoma, beautiful granddaughters, Heather Heflin of Dallas, Texas, Hannah Heflin of Minden, Katelynn Odom of Blanchard, Alyson Odom of Blanchard, Taylor Capetillo of Shreveport, Ella Heflin of Minden, and Baylee Capetillo of Shreveport and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful lifelong friends.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 from 5 until 9 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden and a celebration of her life will be Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Bistineau Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Welch officiating. Interment will follow at Bistineau Cemetery in Heflin under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Cord Landaiche, Tom Fowler, Chance Wade, Matt Wood, Robbie Black, and Greg Davis.
