Services were held at Providence Cemetery in Ringgold, La. at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January, 27, 2022

The services were conducted by Reverend Kathy Wafer of Lakeview United Methodist Church in Minden, La.

Shirley was born in Quitman, La. on May 2, 1936. She graduated from Homer High School in 1954. She was an active member of the Town & Country Garden Club and The Woman’s Department Club for many years. She was a faithful member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and Searcher’s For Truth Sunday School Class. She enjoyed activities with her friends in Bridge Club and Women’s Golf Club. In addition, she and her sisters volunteered in helping with Lakeview United Methodist Church’s meals for the elderly. 

Shirley was a loving wife and mother and was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Bob R. Parker, parents, Mrs. Opal Adeal Norred Boles and Mr.Thomas A. Boles, brother Mr. Freddie L. Boles and sister, Mrs. Ruby Vice. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Lockard, sons Chuck Gautney and Lewis Parker, daughter Liz LaRue, granddaughters Kendra Deane, Kristi Fread, Heather Parker and seven great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church.
