Registration is now open for groups and organizations wishing to participate in the 2026 Webster Parish Fair Parade, set for Tuesday, October 6, in downtown Minden.
The deadline to register for the parade is Tuesday, September 29, at 5 PM. Parade participants will line up beginning at 3:30 PM on October 6, with the parade starting at 5 PM.
The parade serves as the traditional kickoff to fair festivities, with the 2026 Webster Parish Fair scheduled for October 7-10.
All parade entries participate at their own risk, and groups should be prepared to maintain a close interval throughout the parade.
The parade will move at a pace slow enough for groups to perform routines while moving, but entries will not be permitted to stop along the route.
Floats planning to distribute throws must have walkers positioned on each side for crowd control. If the parade comes to a stop, participants must stop distributing throws until their float begins moving again.

Following Tuesday’s parade, the Webster Parish Fair will bring four days of traditional fair activities to Minden. The fair is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, through Saturday, October 10.
Fairgoers can expect carnival rides, games, and fair food throughout the week, along with livestock shows, exhibits, competitions, community activities, and other family-friendly attractions.
The annual fair celebrates Webster Parish’s agricultural and community traditions while giving local youth and other participants an opportunity to showcase their work and talents. The combination of the downtown parade and four days of activities at the fairgrounds makes the event one of the community’s longstanding fall traditions.
