Tim and Tammy Ticklebones are back, and they are ready to show off their Halloween spirit as local businesses prepare for the 2026 Skele-Tour, a monthlong fundraiser benefiting the Minden Main Street District.
Organized through Minden Main Street, the event invites businesses to rent five-foot faux skeletons, affectionately named Tim and Tammy Ticklebones, and transform them into creative displays throughout October. Whether spooky, silly, or somewhere in between, each skeleton will have its own personality as businesses compete for community votes.
Participating businesses will be featured on an official interactive Skele-Tour map, allowing residents and visitors to plan their own tours, discover local businesses, and check out the decorated displays throughout the month.
The community will also have an opportunity to support its favorite displays through online voting. Each $1 donated equals one vote for the selected business, with proceeds benefiting Friends of Minden Main Street, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Funds raised through Skele-Tour will help purchase hanging baskets for seasonal flowers throughout the Main Street District, adding color to downtown light poles throughout the year.
Residents can cast their votes at https://app.seemylegacy.com/community/2484/campaign/10857.
Businesses interested in joining the 2026 Skele-Tour and securing a spot on the interactive map can register at https://app.seemylegacy.com/community/2484/campaign/10312.
The fundraiser offers a chance to enjoy a little Halloween fun, explore local storefronts, and help keep Historic Downtown Minden blooming long after the skeletons have returned to their closets.
