Lakeside couldn’t overcome a dismal third quarter as they fell 48-42 to Mansfield in their first district game of the season on Tuesday night in Mansfield.
“Tough night for us offensively,” Lakeside head coach Marlon McDaniel said. “We just couldn’t find our rhythm.”
The Warriors only mustered three points in the third quarter in their lowest scoring quarter of the season.
“The effort was there, but we just didn’t make enough shots. We didn’t get enough stops or lose balls to pull it out.”
Orlando Roberson led the Warriors with 11 points, including three three-pointers.
Branthony Brown had ten points and Travion Sanders chipped in with eight points of his own.
The Warriors drop to 11-9 this season and 0-1 in District 1-2A.
They have a chance to turn it back around on Friday night at North Caddo. With a win, Lakeside would pull back to .500 in district.
