SPRINGHILL McDonald’s employees put on their friendliest faces as they welcomed community members to their grand re-opening Thursday afternoon.
Attendees played McDonald’s trivia games for free gifts and held a few drawings, the grand prize being a card containing 25 free extra value meals.
While the newly landscaped exterior and freshly remodeled lobby were the most obvious changes, the thing that captured the most attention seemed to be their new ordering kiosks.
“They’re [the kiosks] very user friendly,” said McDonald’s employee Charm Smith. “It’s all touch screen and there’s an assistance button on bottom if you need help.”
Smith was very helpful in demonstrating and appeared to be very pleased with the new ‘high tech’ equipment.
According to Business Insider, McDonald’s originally started rolling out their ordering kiosks at its US locations back in 2015. They claim that most, if not all, of it’s 14,000 locations will have them installed by 2020, offering customers increased accuracy and efficiency.
