NORTH WEBSTER — The Springhill Rodeo Association is proud to announce that the Springhill PRCA Rodeo is back this year with the dates being September 19, 20, 21, 2019. There will be activities going on all week long at the Springhill Rodeo Arena.
Monday night the annual team roping will be held at the arena.
Tuesday night the annual local barrel racing will take place.
Wednesday night there will be a church service along with the queen’s contest taking place. Registration for the queen’s contest is open now.
Thursday night will kick off the rodeo. There will be a parade on Thursday at 5:30pm where we will honor Danny Bolton as the Grand Marshal. Danny was a life long resident in Springhill and a huge fan of the Springhill Rodeo every year. Danny passed away earlier this year, his sister Kathy Thompson and her husband Jet Thompson will be representing Danny. Thursday night is Family Night at the rodeo with reduced ticket prices on Thursday night only.
Friday night will be another night of rodeo excitement, along with music entertainment from the band Swamp Donkey.
Saturday night will be Championship night where the winners of the Springhill Championship Rodeo will be crowned.
The Springhill Rodeo Association attempts to add something new each and every year. This year will be the first in a long time that there has been a local band entertaining after the rodeo and will last for approximately an hour and a half after the rodeo.
All concessions will be open for the duration of the concert. The video replay board will be back this year as this was the new attraction last year. Bull Poker will be played again this year with the winners being paid each and every night for a prize of $200 dollars each night. The Shark Tank will be here and tickets will be sold each and every night for a chance to sit in the Shark Tank during the bull riding and Bull Poker events. There will be Miss Rodeo Louisiana and Miss Rodeo Arkansas will be present again this year as in years past.
